About Donovan Angel Foundation
Our Mission
The Donovan Angel Foundation is dedicated to illuminating the path towards understanding and supporting individuals affected by Fragile X Syndrome. Committed to fostering awareness, our mission is to empower families and communities by providing resources that enhance the well-being of children grappling with Fragile X Syndrome. Through advocacy, education, and support, we strive to elevate the quality of life for these children, nurturing their holistic development and creating a compassionate network that champions their journey towards a brighter future.
Our History
The Donovan Angel Foundation is named after me, Donovan. I'm a 15- year old boy and I'm an XtraSpecialKid living in Northern Virginia. I was watching NBC Nightly News' "Making a Difference" segment with my mom and dad when I saw a story about someone helping kids. My family and I discussed the importance of helping others, and I decided I wanted to help kids just like that. We got busy and with help from the Howard University Speech and Hearing Clinic, DAF was started.
